We Have Arrived

We Have Arrived!

After a long flight and long layover in Switzerland, RMHS has officially arrived in Basel! Our comments will be brief because we all need some rest! 

Students were greeted with hugs and fanfare from their host families, and had a chance to catch up for a couple of hours before we met back up as a group.

In order to try and assimilate to the time change, we had an afternoon that kept us busy, despite our weariness.  We had a tour of Gymnasium Leonhard, followed by a trip to the revered Basel Zoo.  Among the sights were lions, elephants, gorillas, penguins, and to the delight of many, "fuzzy" chickens.   

The students are excited to be here, but also tired from being awake for upwards of 30 hours.  All are home resting now, and tomorrow they will have a chance to see what it is like to be a student at Gymnasium Leonhard.
